The first step of seeking help for what troubles us mentally and emotionally is often the most difficult one. Through a humanistic approach, I endeavour to make the subsequent steps easier than walking them alone. I regard each person as inherently valuable, unique, with the potential for greater fullness of living. When one discovers and lives more in accordance with their personal values, I believe it is then that an individual can be secure, confident, and happy. Being able to form a real connection where one feels genuinely heard and understood can aid in healing and uncovering those values.
My goal as a therapist is to create a trusting relationship with you to facilitate positive change. You are an expert in your own experience. No one knows you like you do. I am here to assist in the discovery of your own wisdom, especially when you are having difficulty connecting with it. I look forward to working with you.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I help those experiencing depression, stress, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship and family issues through Client-Centered, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioural, and Mindfulness Therapies. I am accepting clients for individual and couples therapy, with options of in-person or virtual sessions.
I offer a sliding fee schedule and flexible hours, with evening availability.
